2025 Summer Football Bootcamps

Who this is for

If you love football and want to improve the technical, physical, mental and social aspects of your game, then this is the bootcamp for you.

Over 3 days, you will develop key skills needed to improve your game, led by an FA-qualified and UEFA-C Licensed coach who works at Watford CSE and is also working with and is trusted by Premier League Academy coaches.

You will improve and learn techniques used for:

  • Passing

  • Dribbling

  • Shooting

  • Defending

  • 1v1s and 2v2 situations

  • Strength

  • Power

  • Speed

  • These bootcamps are aimed for boys and girls:

  • 10-17 yr olds (seperate sessions)

What we’ll be doing

  • Strength & Speed In Football

    Strength & Speed In Football

    Use techniques and methods from an experienced strength and conditioning coach at Premier League Academies

    The biggest player on the pitch is not always the strongest. Learn ways in which you can be stronger around the pitch and finding advantages

    Some of the objectives we’ll work on are:

    - Warming up

    - Mobility

    - Plyometrics

    - Understanding strength, power and speed and how to develop each

    - Football-specific exercises and practices

  • Passing

    Passing

    You will learn how to receive and release the ball effectively with basic and advanced technical practices that’ll test your ability to find your teammates

    Some of the objectives we’ll work on are:

    - Receiving on the back foot

    - Scanning

    - Patience and calmness on the ball

    - Pass appreciation

    - Decision making

  • Dribbling

    Dribbling

    Develop your ability to keep the ball whilst on the move with challenging practices that’ll make you think about retaining the ball and getting out of trouble

    Some of the objectives we’ll work on are:

    - Dribbling Vs running with the ball

    - Using both feet on the ball

    - Using your body effectively

    - Being creative with beating players

    - Identifying opportunities when to ‘attack’ an opponent

  • 1v1s & 2v2s

    1v1s & 2v2s

    Being successful in 1v1 situations can lead to goal scoring opportunities which can ultimately decide the outcome of matches.

    We will also work on how to defend in 1v1 situations as even attacking players can find themselves in these situations.

    Some of the objectives we’ll work on are:

    - Body positioning

    - First touch

    - Reading the situation

    - How to approach defending a 1v1

  • Shooting

    Shooting

    Learn and practice how different techniques/methods of scoring can suit different situations and scenarios

    Some of the objectives we’ll work on are:

    - The preparatory phase when ball striking

    - The contact phase when ball striking

    - The follow-through phase when ball striking

    - Getting shots away in tight spaces

    - Getting shots away with limited time

    - Being creative to score
